About our Trainer,
Kristy Francis

"I found my passion for dog training after hiring a trainer to come to my home to help me with my fear aggressive puppy. This trainer told me about Jean Donaldson and The Academy for Dog Trainers. The Academy is known as the Harvard of dog training, it offers the most comprehensive course on dog training (evolution of dogs, basic obedience, fear and aggression, genetics, applied behavioral analysis, and much more).

I completed the rigorous 2-year program and obtained my Certificate of Training and Counseling (CTC). I apply the training methods that I learned and practiced while in the course with my clients. These methods are science-based and proven time and time again by evidence to be effective. I do not use painful corrections, fear, or intimidation to train your dog.

Instead of using these barbaric methods, I train your dog by using motivation. Motivation is often times treats but it can also be fetch, play with another dog, walking through a doorway, anything that your dog wants at the moment. We pay your dog for working. When they do the work we want, they are actually learning and in turn they are getting paid to learn!"
